Stores Person - Vacancy Ref: ST - 08/10

Please note that RML is a motorsport company and staff can expect to work long and/or unsociable hours.  There will be occasions when staff may be asked to work weekends and away from the company's site at race meetings, both in the UK and abroad.

Description

Stores is responsible for the flow of goods received in the company and providing an internal service for the distribution of goods.

 Duties include:

  •  Picking job orders, this would include engine rebuild kits, car kits and kits for manufacture.
  • Support a hatch service, issuing parts to Projects and then subsequently booking to Project Accounts.
  • Accepting components and sub assemblies into the stores and placing them in their designated locations, maintaining a batch control system.
  • Receiving and dispatching parts, including the receipt of purchase orders, picking and packing customers orders and issuing them on a computerised system (Syteline). 
  • Loading and unloading of goods as required by the Company.
  • Maintaining accurate stocks through regular cycle counting.

Skills

This role requires a motivated individual with good organisational skills, someone who can deliver excellent customer service and is not afraid to challenge the status quo. It would be advantageous if you have worked in a Motorsport environment with a least 3 years' experience.

Computer skills should include experience of a MRP/ERP system, ideally Syteline/SAP, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications 

Holding a current forklift-truck licence and clean driving licence would be desirable.
