The Chevrolet team experienced another successful day in Brno, as Rob Huff won with authority Race 1 on the Czech circuit, after taking the pole yesterday. This is the fourth win this season for the RML-prepared Cruze and the first for the British driver.

Chevrolet kept faithful to its tradition of success in Brands Hatch, by taking a win in the Kent circuit for the fifth consecutive year. Yvan Muller and Rob Huff dominated Race 1, claiming a brilliant one-two and the third win of the season. Most importantly, today’s excellent results allow Muller and the Cruzes to reinforce their respective leading positions in the Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ standings of the WTCC.

Qualifying for the Race of UK, the home event of RML, ended with a dream-like result for Chevrolet: the Cruzes of Yvan Muller, Rob Huff and Alain Menu were the three fastest cars on the track and will start Race 1 tomorrow from the three top positions on the grid, in front of a crowd of colleagues, friends and fans that were already present en masse today.

RML & Chevrolet will enter a fourth car in the British round of the WTCC to take place in Brands Hatch on 16-18 July: it will be entrusted to Brazilian Stock Car ace Carlos ‘Cacá’ Bueno, who will race alongside Huff, Menu and Muller.

On a track transformed to something close to an oven by the severe heat (almost 40° of air temperature), the Cruzes put together another great team effort, as Yvan Muller finished 2nd in both races, Rob Huff took 3rd in race 2 (after starting 18th on the grid) and Alain Menu collected a 4th and a 5th position.
