A fantastic set of results for the Racing Silverline squad in this weekend’s HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship round at Silverstone saw the RML-run cars take their first ever 1-2-3 in the first race. And there was still yet more to celebrate in the remaining two.

July 2nd marks the silver anniversary of the founding of Ray Mallock Limited in 1984. Over the past 25 years, RML have grown into a diversified group and one of the motorsport industry's 'quiet giants', with a breadth and depth of experience, expertise, and success matched by few competitors – achievements recognized in 2008 by the Motorsport Industry Association's Business of the Year Award.

Tommy's first flyer certainly started with promise. Half a second up at the end of the first sector, he continued in similar vein, clocking his quickest second sector as well. Maintaining his pace as best he could, he encountered some traffic on the final run, but still crossed the line in 3:41.952; a full second quicker than he'd gone before. That moved the RML Lola up two places to fourth in class. "The car feels much better," declared Tommy. "I think we have a very good car for the race now."
